Evelyn is committed to representing employers in complex wage and hour litigation, including class actions and PAGA claims. With a strong foundation in mathematics and data analysis, she applies a forensic approach to evaluating liability exposure, quantifying risk, and negotiating settlements. Her approach includes conducting comprehensive payroll and timekeeping audits, developing data-driven defense strategies, and utilizing statistical modeling to assess class certification risks and damages exposure.
Beyond litigation defense, Evelyn also helps employers proactively identify and address compliance issues. By uncovering potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective measures, she assists employers in mitigating future litigation risks and ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a Specialization in Computing from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned her J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York. Before joining the Firm, she gained experience at Bisno Mulvaney, LLP, handling business litigation, corporate and partnership disputes and transactions, banking and financial institution litigation, commercial real estate litigation and transactions, creditor bankruptcy representation, and collection matters.
Prior to her legal career, Evelyn was the primary developer and administrator for an interactive fusion materials database at the University of California, Los Angeles. She also managed the digitization and storage of internal court administration documents for the Marion Superior Court in Indiana. These experiences equipped her with a proficiency in electronic discovery, which has proven invaluable in her role as an attorney.
Since joining the Firm, Evelyn has dedicated herself to cases involving wage and hour claims and class action litigation. Leveraging her mathematics background, she brings a unique forensic approach to evaluating wage and hour liability exposure and negotiating class and representative action settlements. Evelyn is fluent in Spanish and is committed to protecting and advocating for employers throughout California.
