LOS ANGELES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT’S REINSTATEMENT OF INDOOR: MASKING REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED EMPLOYEES

On July 15, 2021, the County of Los Angeles Health Officer announced that the County will require masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status, starting at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 17th. 

The decision to bring back the masking requirement was made due to a rapid increase in COVID-19 and the Delta variant cases. While the specifics of the order are yet unknown, some exceptions to the masking requirement will apply, similar to masking requirements that were in place prior to the June 15th reopening. The Health Officer indicated that the new mask order will mirror the one that was in place prior to June 15th. That is, all employees, regardless of vaccination status, performing work in the County of Los Angeles will need to wear a mask while indoors.
