EMPLOYER ALERT: LOS ANGELES MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES TO $15 PER HOUR

Effective July 1, 2021

WHO DOES THE MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE APPLY TO?

Effective July 1, 2021, ALL employers in the City of Los Angeles and unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, regardless of size and number of employees, are required to compensate employees at the increased minimum wage rate of $15 per hour.

The Los Angeles City Minimum Wage Ordinance applies to hours worked within the geographic boundaries of the City. The wage increase will apply to any employee who performs at least two (2) hours of work within the geographical boundaries of the City of LA for an employer.
