ATTORNEY MICHAEL S. LAVENANT NAMED
CAMARILLO BREAKFAST ROTARY CLUB PRESIDENT

Landegger & Baron Employment Law Attorney Committed to Work with Young People and Camarillo Community

CAMARILLO, CA – Michael S. Lavenant, an attorney with the labor and employment law defense firm of Landegger & Baron, was named President of the Camarillo Breakfast Rotary Club, and, at age 36, is one of the youngest  presidents in the 22-year-old Club’s history.  As President, he will spearhead the first-time co-sponsorship of Camarillo Fiesta Day and Street Fair, and oversee the Club’s “Care for Kids” Golf Classic, a tournament co-hosted with the Noon Rotary Club that is expected to raise approximately $100,000 for Casa Pacifica and other local children's charities. His recent Club leadership includes handling youth-related activities, including serving as advisor to the Club’s Interact program, Rotary’s membership program for high school-aged kids. 

An active member of the Camarillo community and a father of three, Michael serves as Vice Chair, Business Advocacy Committee for the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce.  This committee reviews and makes recommendations regarding pending legislation that will affect local business.  Michael was also recently re-appointed to his second three-year term as Vice President for the Camarillo Ranch Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Camarillo.

As the senior associate in charge of the Camarillo office, Michael advises and counsels employers throughout Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley on employment and labor law issues.  He works across a range of industries including non-profits, financial institutions and grocery store chains.

PROMINENT LABOR LAW ATTORNEY JULIE HALL
JOINS LANDEGGER & BARON

Expansion Underscores Employment and Labor Law Firm’s Continued Business Growth

LOS ANGELES, CA – Landegger & Baron, an employment and labor law firm, announced that prominent labor law attorney, Julie Hall, has joined the firm.  Prior to joining Landegger & Baron, Ms. Hall served for eight years as General Counsel, Labor & Employment Law with Lockheed Martin, and for five years as in-house counsel for Kaiser Permanente.  She was also a member of the 2005 Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee to the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission. 

Ms. Hall’s experience includes counseling in all aspects of employment and labor law including WARN, Cal-WARN, EEO (federal and California), FMLA, ADA, CFRA, discipline, compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, and collective bargaining agreements.  She also developed position statements to the EEOC and other state agencies.  In 2005, Ms. Hall co-chaired a bench trial with a judgment rendered in favor of the defendant, Lockheed Martin.

“In addition to general employment compliance issues, we’re seeing many more complex cases involving wage and hour disputes, sexual harassment and those involving unions,” said Alfred J. Ms. Hall received her JD from Rutgers University Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.   She is a member of the

California State Bar, Labor & Employment section, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern and Eastern Districts.

Employment and Labor Law Firm Continues on Expansion Path

LOS ANGELES, CA - Landegger & Baron, an employment and labor law firm, announced the hiring of Jordan Blumenfeld-James as an associate attorney.  Previously, Mr. Blumenfeld-James was with the firm Rose, Klein & Marias. 

Mr. Blumenfeld-James obtained his law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.   He is a member of the California Labor & Employment Law Section of the State Bar of California and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
