“Humanitarian of the Year”: Alfred J. Landegger, Esq. honored by OYHFS

Dear Clients and Friends:

1981 was a fortuitous year for me, and as a young attorney, I was fortunate to meet the Executive Director of the Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services. This was the first nonprofit organization I represented and I rapidly grew to appreciate the impact that the nonprofit world has on all of us. Fast-forward; our Firm now represents more than 50 nonprofits and our firm is highly involved in working with them while providing free seminars and training, legal services, pro-bono work and participating in their fund-raising events.

Recently, I was surprised and honored to be notified that I will be the recipient of the “Humanitarian of the Year” award to be presented by OYHFS at their Annual Gala to be held on October 23, 2014 at the Jonathan Club. For over 100 years this organization has provided services to at-risk youth and their families and has grown to become a leading proponent and innovator of services that now include mental health, foster family services, adoption services, and residential based school services and educational programs.

As an avid supporter of Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services, I encourage you to attend and discover for yourself how one nonprofit has changed the lives of so many in such a dramatic and lasting way. If you can’t attend, there are several ways to show your support, participate in the silent auction or with a direct contribution, small and large all welcome.
