For a Fortune 500 company, we won a unanimous defense verdict in a disability discrimination case filed in federal court. After multiple attempts to place a newly disabled employee in another position, the individual was terminated as part of a company-wide reduction in force. He claimed that he was let go because he suffered from depression. The verdict was noteworthy because jurors tend to sympathize with the plaintiff.
In a state court case, we won a defense verdict on behalf of a Fortune 500 company sued by an executive claiming race/national origin discrimination. The verdict favored our client even when our only witness was unable to appear because of illness.
The court dismissed a discrimination claim against a not-for-profit religious organization based on our sophisticated defense strategies and experience with the laws governing such organizations.
