Sumithra R. Roberts, Esq.
Since the start of her legal career, Sumithra has focused mainly on the many issues facing small to medium size businesses. In particular, Sumithra has litigated on behalf of businesses in the areas of sexual harassment and discrimination, wage and hour, intellectual property and general commercial matters. She has also aided companies in their business and labor transactions, ranging from the preparation of employment-related agreements to business documents such as service agreements, asset purchase agreements, corporate formation documents, and trademark filings. Sumithra has also made frequent appearances before the State of California Labor Commissioner, State of California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board.
Sumithra graduated from the University of Kansas in 2003 with a bachelor of arts in political science, and received her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 2007. While in law school, she served on the Board of Governors for the Moot Court Honors Program as well as an associate editor for the Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and Beverly Hills Bar Association. Sumithra currently lives in Sherman Oaks, and enjoys cooking, watching European and American professional soccer, and spending time with her family.
