Michael S. Lavenant, Esq.
Michael earned his B.A., in 1994 at California State University, Fullerton. Michael earned his J.D. in 1998 at Southwestern University of School of Law and was Member and Chairman of Hispanic Law Student Association, Member and Vice President of Criminal Law Society, Lieutenant Commissioner of Academic Affairs, and recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Michael was admitted to California State Bar in 1998, U.S. District Court Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California. Current memberships include the State Bar of California, American Bar Association – Labor & Employment Law Section, Ventura County Bar Association – Labor & Employment Law Section and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Labor and Employment Section. Michael’s languages include conversational Spanish.
Michael has extensive experience representing employers in all areas of employment disputes. He has lived in Ventura County Since 1996, and is heavily involved in the community. Currently, he is a Director for the Camarillo Ranch Foundation, the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce and St. John’s Hospitaland is President of the Breakfast Rotary Club of Camarillo. In 2006, Pacific Coast Business Times named him among the “40 Under 40” up-and-coming businessmen in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. In 2009 he was selected as “Volunteer of the Year” by the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce. Michael lives in Camarillo with his wife and three young children.
